Why Let's Talk exists
Shasha spent six years teaching English in Sri Lanka, the most recent of them at one of the country's leading institutes. In that time she watched the same thing happen over and over: students who could read English, write English and pass an English paper — and still could not say a sentence out loud without their heart racing.
The problem was never the students. It was the shape of the classes. Thirty people in a room, a whiteboard full of grammar, and almost no one getting the chance to actually open their mouth. You cannot learn to speak a language that way, any more than you can learn to swim from a diagram.
Let's Talk was built to fix exactly that. Batches are kept small so every student speaks in every class. Lessons are built around real situations — a phone call, a meeting, an interview, a conversation with a stranger — rather than around exercises. Mistakes are expected, corrected kindly, and moved past quickly.

The business degree matters more than it sounds like it should. It was studied entirely in English, in the vocabulary of offices, meetings and emails — which is why the professional course covers the things working adults are genuinely stuck on, rather than a generic syllabus.
And it is why the youngest students matter too. A child who is allowed to speak badly at five, kindly corrected, never develops the fear that adults spend years unlearning.
